GPCalculator ("we," "our," or "the Service") is an AI-powered informational tool that provides estimates of academic credential equivalency based on publicly available standards, including those published by World Education Services (WES) and Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE).
We are an independent service and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with WES, ECE, any Canadian or American government agency, immigration authority (including IRCC), or any accreditation body.
By accessing or using GPCalculator, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Reports generated by GPCalculator are provided for personal and informational purposes only. They are AI-generated estimates and do not constitute legally recognized credential evaluations.
GPCalculator reports cannot be used as substitutes for official evaluations in contexts including, but not limited to:
For official purposes, contact an accredited body such as WES (wes.org) or ECE (ece.org) directly.
Our Service uses large language models (LLMs) to analyze and interpret academic transcripts. While we strive for accuracy, results are estimates subject to inherent limitations, including:
We make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any report generated. You are solely responsible for verifying results before making any consequential decisions.
In line with guidance from Canada's Office of the Privacy Commissioner, we disclose that AI-assisted automated analysis is used in generating your report. No human evaluator reviews your transcript.
The Professional Equivalency Report is available for a one-time payment of USD $19, processed securely through Stripe.
All sales are final. Due to the digital and immediately delivered nature of the report, and AI processing costs incurred at the time of generation, refunds will not be issued once a report has been generated.
Exceptions may be considered at our sole discretion in the event of a verified technical failure preventing report delivery. Contact us at [email protected] within 7 days of purchase.
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us is a violation of these Terms. We reserve the right to contest chargebacks with documentation of service delivery.
We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
What we collect: The academic document you upload, your IP address (for rate limiting and fraud prevention), and payment metadata from Stripe (we do not store card details).
How we use it: Uploaded documents are processed solely to generate your report. Files are temporarily stored on secure servers and automatically deleted within 30 days. We do not sell, rent, or share your documents or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-party processors: We use OpenAI to process transcript text, Stripe for payments, and Railway for hosting. These sub-processors are contractually bound by data protection obligations consistent with PIPEDA principles.
Cross-border transfers: Your data may be processed on servers outside Canada (including the United States). By using the Service, you consent to this transfer, conducted with appropriate security safeguards.
Your rights under PIPEDA: You have the right to access personal information we hold about you, request corrections, and withdraw consent. Contact: [email protected].
You agree not to:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, GPCalculator and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any reliance on report results for official, legal, or immigration purposes.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific report giving rise to the claim (maximum USD $19).
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any unresolved disputes shall be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Ontario.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
